This is a total conglomeration blog of a BUNCH of pictures... I'm desperately trying to get closer to caught up with my picture dump :)
I just love this picture of my amazing husband, and his absolute devotion to his kids. He wore this for over an hour on night when Olivia REALLY wanted him to stay dressed up :).
And we finally visited Daddy at work! We brought lunch, and I looked completely ridiculous carrying one child, one bag of food, a purse, and two fountain drinks...while making O hold onto my pocket. We had a great time having lunch with Dad though, and the kids are looking forward to next time, Unfortunately, his lunch is now too late for them, so we will see when that happens...
The last weekend in September, we got invited to this AMAZING Halloween adventure. It was a treasure hunt complete with riddles, puzzles, and lots of fun running around the town looking for landmarks. Alex and I weren't especially helpful with knowing things around town, but we had a blast, and met some great new friends!
The next day was Kade's birthday! We celebrated with a super cold football game, and then went over later for cake and ice cream. On a side note, we picked up a sweet new scooter at a garage sale...O was over the moon excited!
I tried a few new things from Pinterest to make our house a home...ziploc bags on the pantry wall (genius and also totally obvious...) and a fun fall wreath!
The last day of September we went to a corn maze/pumpkin patch with our cousins. We got there early (this first picture is from right before we got kicked out for twenty minutes when they officially opened...) in the season, so there wasn't a lot of crowds, and this corn maze had a ton of fun things for free...the best kind of activities :).
Tried to take some pictures in the pumpkin patch...O wasn't into it, but C loved the pumpkins! We did get a great cousin shot of the 6 Boise cousins.
One thing they had was a pedal tractor race. The track was just a circle, and it was totally meant for kids, but our husbands have a hard time not winning everything (OK Alex just wants to play all the time, and Dan needs to win :)). Amber and Alex both took kids around with the kids bumping on one knee (and making it hard to pedal that leg...). Dan and Elli figured out the easier method...have the kid stand on the metal bar. Much easier!
I 'may' have planned our matchy matchy outfits so that we could take a cute family picture..the kids and sun weren't really cooperating, but we got a pretty good one anyway.
Here is the whole crowd (minus Amber...the photographer) on the hayride
We had some more fun in the corn pit after we were officially there...including Maely getting buried so that nothing except her nose/mouth was showing..The kids racing down the entire length was awesome...and maybe the slowest race I've ever seen.
The last thing we visited was the petting zoo. They had a bunch of kittens and little rabbits to hold and play with. I'm not going to lie and say that I am an animal fan, but I even held some kittens, they were adorable. I did not, however, hug all the goats like Teag did, or point out every single bum she could find like Olivia did...
And September is a wrap! (and for all of you reading...Happy New Year!)
